(1) The Commission may create the required number of temporary posts for a maximum period of six months to carry out election work.
(2) The commission may appoint employees who have retired from any service of the Government of Nepal in the vacancies created according to sub-section (1) in such a way that they will get the benefits of the post at the time of retirement.
(3) If the work of such position is not completed within the period as per sub-section (1), the Commission may extend the period up to six months once or several times.
(4) The Commission may appoint temporary or contractual or salaried positions to the posts created under sub-section (1). - "However, when creating a temporary position in accordance with this section or in relation to the appointment of employees on a contract or wage basis, it shall be done in accordance with the procedure made by the Commission with the consent of the Government of Nepal, the Ministry of Finance."
